Martyn Smith

Martyn Smith qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 2008 after which he undertook Vocational Training in Llantwit Major. After completed his foundation year in 2009 Martyn went on to work as a SHO in Restorative dentistry at the University Hospital Wales Cardiff, community dentistry in Aberdare and Merthyr Tydfil and Oral Maxillofacial at the Royal Gwent hospital, Newport.

After finishing his hospital posts Martyn then returned to general practice and has worked at Crown Cottage since January 2012. Martyn enjoys all aspects of general practice but does have a particular interest in adhesive dentistry, tooth wear and endodontics.

Outside of work Martyn enjoys watching and playing sport especially football and prior to training as a dentist spent 6 years at Charlton Athletic football academy. Martyn also loves music and enjoys producing and mixing records which he has done for the last 15 years.
