Sona Anand
I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1999. After qualifying I worked for a time in the city and then moved onto London working in both NHS and Private Practices. I also have a bit of wanderlust and spent time working in Tanzania as a volunteer dentist and helping out in an orphanage.
I moved back to South Wales in 2008 and since 2010 I have worked exclusively as an NHS dentist.
My approach is to treat people holistically and I generally invest time in getting to know my patients.
My dental interests are in preventative care and using minimally evasive techniques and, teaching children the value of good oral hygiene. To this end I am qualifying as a bioclear practitioner which is innovative method of using composite filling material to repair damaged teeth.
I am a keen advocate of womens health issues and know how this can impact on dental care.
When I’m not being a dentist, you will find me following the road less travelled in some far flung corner of the planet with my backpack. I enjoy a hike up a mountain and as a reward, sipping a cocktail on a roof terrace.
I love eating out and am always trying to find something new to sample and recreate at home.
